Our client, a leading provider of engineered solutions for industrial applications, is seeking a Thermal Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Calgary, AB. This role involves designing and optimizing thermal and mechanical systems for heat transfer equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop thermal and mechanical designs for heat exchangers and related equipment.
  • Perform calculations for heat transfer, fluid flow, and mechanical integrity.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs meet performance and safety requirements.
  • Support manufacturing and fabrication processes with technical guidance.
  • Review client requirements and provide innovative design solutions.
  • Conduct stress analysis and ensure compliance with ASME and other applicable codes.
  • Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in thermal and mechanical design, preferably in heat exchanger systems.
  • Active P.Eng. designation.
  • Proficiency with HTRI software and proven expertise in thermal analysis & vibration.
  • Structural engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME codes and pressure vessel design standards.
  • Proficiency in engineering software for thermal and mechanical analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
