Position Overview:
The Fleet NSC Coordinator ensures all commercial transport related matters meet the National Safety Code and provincial regulations. This includes, but is not limited to, vehicle maintenance, ELD management, administration of fleet management software, driver logs, driver files, driver training, permits, documentation, tickets and inspections. In addition, the position will provide administration support for our maintenance team including commercial vehicle inspections, annual non-destructive testing, annual certifications, and coverall inventory.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor, update, coordinate and train new and existing drivers in all aspects of commercial transportation with special focus on Federal Hours of Service and electronic driver log programs.
- Assist in managing and updating our commercial and non-commercial safety programs.
- Administer Motive fleet management software.
- Audit and/or review driver logs for accuracy.
- Compile reports and driver letters with results of log audits.
- Responsible for regular and annual registration renewals for both prorated and non-prorated units.
- Verify driver and daily inspection records are completed as per NSCrequirements.
- Perform regular internal NSC compliance audits.
- Develop and implement action plans based on audit results.
- Obtain various types of commercial transportation permits and update units and files accordingly.
- Manage the administration of ELDs installed in vehicles.
- Electronically file ERR and third-party invoices monthly.
- Ensure documents are organized by month and by equipment, retaining third-party invoices for future reference.
- Oversee the CVIP process.
- Coordinate and schedule annual inspections for Picker Trucks, Track Cranes, Pipemill lifting devices, and Spreader Bars.
- Coordinate annual overhead crane inspections.
- Enter necessary information into our internal database, including CVIP and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) records.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college or technical training is a plus).
- Proven experience in NSC compliance, scheduling, or equipment maintenance coordination.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance procedures and inspection processes is an asset.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accurate record-keeping.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and initiative.
