The ideal candidate will have recent experience in caring for a mother and baby from admission to discharge, including Labour and Delivery as well as recent Medical/Surgical Nursing experience.

Please note, while working on the Med-Surge unit, the rate is $90/hr (SAL) & $100/hr (IC). While working on the OB Unit, the rate is $110/hr (SAL) & $115/hr (SUB) when working OB

This positions within GHHS requires:

  • Experience for a minimum of 2 years in both Labour and Delivery as well as Med/Surge is required (Mandatory)
  • Experience caring for Obstetrical patients from NST/clinic through phases of L&D, Postpartum and newborn care up to discharge, along with experience in the Medical and Surgical Department
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) & Fetal Health Surveillance Certification (FHS) (Mandatory)
  • Diploma & CNO
  • Vulnerable Sector Check and 2 step TB or chest x-ray within 1 year
  • Immunization records (MMR, Varicella, tDap. Hepatitis B an asset)
  • COVID passport with QR showing at least 2 doses of the vaccine
  • Current N95 and ACLS certificate
