Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Go Engineer to join our core engineering team.  This role focuses on building high-performance scalable backend services for our ransomware detection and recovery platform.

You will work on distributed systems, cloud-native services, and deep infrastructure integrations.  Experience with system-level software, storage, or security platforms is a strong plus.

As a senior engineer, you will help shape architecture, guide technical decisions, and deliver reliable production systems.

Responsibilities

  • Backend Development
  • Design, build, and maintain backend services using Go.
  • Distributed Systems
  • Develop scalable, reliable services that operate in cloud and customer environments.
  • Cloud-Native Architecture
  • Build services that run on Kubernetes using containers and modern deployment patterns.
  • System Integrations
  • Integrate with storage platforms, backup systems, and cloud provider APIs.
  • Performance & Reliability
  • Write efficient code and help ensure system stability, observability, and fault tolerance.
  • Code Quality
  • Produce clean, testable, and maintainable code.  Participate in reviews and technical design.
  • Collaboration
  • Work closely with product, DevOps, and security teams to deliver complete solutions.
  • Troubleshooting
  • Diagnose and fix complex issues across distributed systems.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience building backend systems in Go.
  • Deep understanding of concurrency, networking, and system-level programming.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments.
  • Experience designing and operating APIs and backend services.
  • Comfortable working in Linux-based systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms AWS (required), Azure, or GCP.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with storage, backup, or recovery systems.
  • Experience with security, data integrity, or ransomware-related systems.
  • Experience working with large-scale or multi-tenant systems.

Other Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work across teams.
