Overview This role will be responsible for developing and implementing processes and applications that improve the Engineering Department’s performance in delivering projects on time and on budget. The role will also track the budget and scheduling performance of capital projects and communicate the status to key stakeholders. Responsibilities Execute medium to large-sized technical projects in Give & Go’s manufacturing plants as part of the Engineering team Investigate, create solutions, source equipment, manage installations and start-ups Use appropriate project management and reporting disciplines throughout the project life cycle Contribute to large projects as a team member, executing assigned work packages in accordance with design specifications, performance targets and governing laws, codes and regulations Provide coaching and leadership within the Engineering department and the organization from a technical leadership position to support the manufacturing base Continuously learn and develop technical, project management and leadership skills to support projects across Product Development, Continuous Improvement and Asset Maintenance Gain experience and competence in multiple areas of the business Qualifications Completion of university degree in Engineering or a related field Minimum 8 years’ experience in Engineering, preferably in the Food Manufacturing industry Completion of P.Eng Highly organized and results oriented, with the ability to grasp general scientific and engineering principles Strong analytical skills including troubleshooting and root cause analysis to lead teams to identify issues and implement sustainable corrective actions Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities Strong computer (MS Office) and project management skills What We Can Offer Opportunity to be part of a growing team with a bright future Commitment to preserving diversity and culture that is people-focused; values of Quality, Direct Communication and Respect Learning and growth environment that encourages sharing ideas and collaboration #GNG2 Interested and qualified candidates are invited to apply directly.
