We are looking for an HR Adviser -Labor Relations to provide Human Resources operational support to the Iron Ore Company of Canada. The generalist's duties for this role provide support to the business across a range of HR processes, policies and programs. Activities include supporting implementation of HR tools, systems, and organization and employee/labour relations queries. The work schedule is Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the HR Manager and working in an exciting and unique environment within the Iron Ore Company of Canada, you will be:
Providing coaching and support to leaders and employees on HR systems, processes, policies, procedures, and programs
Advising on human resources policies and procedures, employee relations, performance, labour and regulatory issues
Providing advice, support and coaching in the use of human resources systems (e.g remuneration/benefits, performance management)
Partnering with and supporting leaders and HR Business Partners with annual activities as well as helping the business achieve their People Resource strategies
Providing employee relations support including management of grievances and arbitration files in a professional and confidential manner
Leading change management efforts related to integration of new HR tools and processes
What you'll bring
A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
Bachelor's degree in human resources or other combination of education & experience3-5 years of relevant HR Generalist experience
Demonstrated ability to effectively apply knowledge of human resources laws & policies
Employee Relations experience
Experience with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

Some level of fluency in French would be an asset.

We are a leading North American producer and exporter of premium iron ore pellets and high-grade concentrate with average iron grades greater than 66%. With a team of over 2,700 employees, IOC is committed to providing value and continuity for our customers, employees, communities and shareholders through our unique mine to port approach, taking advantage of our full integration and wholly owned infrastructure to deliver our high-quality concentrate and pellets to our customers across the globe.
IOC's operations include a mine with five operational pits; a concentrator and a pelletizing plant located near Labrador City in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. We also operate a wholly-owned 418 km railway, the Quebec North Shore and Labrador Railway (QNS&L), that links our Labrador operations to Company-owned port facilities in Sept-Iles.
