Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Glass Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing automotive glass with precision and care. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior dealership experience and mechanical knowledge are highly valued to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Remove and replace damaged or broken automotive glass using specialized hand tools and power tools
- Inspect vehicles to determine the appropriate glass repair or replacement procedures
- Ensure proper sealing and installation of glass to prevent leaks and wind noise
- Use heavy lifting techniques to handle large or heavy glass components safely
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times
- Assist with related automotive repair tasks as needed, leveraging mechanical knowledge
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding service procedures and timelines
Qualifications
- Previous dealership experience or automotive repair background preferred
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in using hand tools, power tools, and other automotive equipment
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience working with automotive glass installation or repair is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Prior mechanic experience is advantageous but not mandatory
