Supply Chain Manager / Senior Purchasing Lead – Manufacturing

Location: St. Albert, AB

Salary Range: $110,000 – $125,000

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: Monday to Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Work Style: On-site | Business Casual

About the Opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing industrial manufacturing organization scaling toward a $20M+ run rate and expanding into the U.S. market. As the business continues to scale, Supply Chain has become the most critical leverage point in operational performance. The organization is also completing a major Epicor ERP implementation, positioning systems, data, and execution discipline as core competitive advantages.

This role is ideal for either an experienced Supply Chain Manager or a Senior Purchasing professional with the capability and ambition to step into a broader leadership role. This is not a role focused on maintaining an existing system. It is an opportunity to design, build, and operationalize a scalable supply chain operating model.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Owning and leading the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process end-to-end
  • Designing and implementing a scalable Plan–Buy–Move supply chain framework
  • Establishing clear ownership and handoffs across Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Sales Operations
  • Translating MRP and ERP outputs into reliable, actionable execution plans
  • Leading supplier strategy, negotiations, and shortage recovery
  • Reducing firefighting through process discipline, cadence, and standards
  • Partnering closely with Operations, Sales, and Finance to support growth without sacrificing execution
  • Driving Epicor ERP adoption and data discipline across the organization
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of 6 direct reports across procurement, planning, and logistics

Who Will Succeed in This Role

The ideal candidate is a systems-level thinker who is comfortable in a high-accountability environment and motivated by outcomes rather than activity. You lead without ego, collaborate naturally across departments, and take ownership from problem identification through execution.

You are direct, pragmatic, and disciplined, with the ability to balance structure and flexibility in a growing manufacturing environment. You are energized by building something that scales rather than maintaining what already exists.

Experience & Background

  • 5–8+ years of experience in Supply Chain leadership, purchasing leadership, or a senior procurement role
  • Background in manufacturing or adjacent industries such as construction, oil & gas, industrial services, or heavy equipment
  • Proven experience managing complex, end-to-end supply chains
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams across procurement, planning, and warehouse operations
  • Hands-on experience with Epicor or another manufacturing-based ERP system
  • SCMP designation is considered an asset, though experience, outcomes, and merit are prioritized

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary: $110,000 – $125,000
  • 3 weeks of vacation
  • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and prescription coverage (50/50 employer/employee paid)
  • Stable Monday–Friday schedule with no shift work

This position is well suited for professionals with experience in supply chain management, purchasing leadership, procurement management, production planning, inventory control, logistics coordination, and S&OP within manufacturing or industrial environments. Candidates with exposure to ERP and MRP systems such as Epicor, as well as those who have supported operational scale, supplier negotiations, forecasting, and cross-functional execution in manufacturing, construction, oil and gas, heavy equipment, or industrial operations will find strong alignment with this opportunity.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $110,000.00-$125,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Extended health care
  • On-site parking
  • Paid time off

Application question(s):

  • Do you have at least 5 years of experience in a supply chain leadership or senior purchasing role within a manufacturing or industrial environment?
  • Have you directly owned or led a Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) or equivalent demand/supply planning process?
  • Have you managed or led teams across procurement, planning, and/or warehouse/logistics functions?
  • s your background primarily within manufacturing or industrial sectors (e.g., manufacturing, construction, oil & gas, heavy equipment, industrial services)?
