The role of the Room Attendant is to provide housekeeping services to guest rooms according to hotel standards, policies and procedures to ensure consistent efficiency and guest satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To clean and service guest rooms according to set standards

To complete daily quota of workload according to set standards

To ensure proper supplies of linen and tools required to accomplish the day's work are at hand

To maintain inventory control of supplies on the carts and report to the supervisor when supplies are low

To clean guest rooms in the following order:

Priority or rush rooms given by supervisor

Verbal requests from guests

Check Out (CO) rooms

Expected Check Out rooms

Occupied rooms

To use the Room Inspection Sheet as a guideline for cleaning the rooms

To report any items or rooms that requires the attention of maintenance or the supervisor

To report any Lost and Found items

To maintain communication with supervisor in regards to assigned duties

To assist in training of new Room Attendants as required

§To perform additional duties as necessary and assigned

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Professional Attitude and Appearance a must
  • Ability to communicate in the English language
  • Ability to Work Independently and Possess Excellent Interpersonal Skills
  • Knowledge of cleaning and industrial equipment desirable but not required

EXPERIENCE:

1-2 years Housekeeping Services in the Hotel Industry preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Walking, standing for long periods of time
  • Lifting up to 50lbs
  • Bending, lifting, squatting

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.09-$26.09 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
