As we scale up production, we're looking for an Production Coordinator with strong technical and production knowledge — someone who can bridge the gap between formulation, production, and compliance to ensure consistency, efficiency, and safety across all product lines.
What You'll DoFormulation & Product DevelopmentCollaborate with founders and product team on formulation creation and optimization
Maintain accurate documentation of formulas, batch records, and revisions
Support scaling recipes from small-batch prototypes to production-ready processes
Ensure ingredient sourcing aligns with safety, regulatory, and performance standards
Design, set up, and maintain production lines for bath bombs, bath soaks, and accessories
Train production staff on processes, equipment use, and SOPs
Monitor and refine workflows for efficiency, minimizing waste, and ensuring consistency
Troubleshoot issues with mixing, molding, drying, packaging, or equipment performance
Establish and enforce health, safety, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards in production areas
Conduct regular inspections of equipment, facilities, and staff compliance
Create and maintain safety protocols (chemical handling, PPE, sanitation, spill response, etc.)
Oversee quality control — ensure finished products meet specifications for weight, size, texture, scent, and appearance
Maintain production records, batch logs, and safety data sheets (SDS)
Ensure compliance with cosmetic regulations, labeling requirements, and workplace safety laws
Develop training materials and refreshers for health and safety practices
Work with external auditors or inspectors as needed
Research new techniques, tools, and materials that could improve production
Recommend process automation or efficiency improvements as volumes increase
Identify risks, bottlenecks, or inefficiencies and propose solutions
Required Skills & Experience
2–5 years experience in a cosmetic, bath & body, or related manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of formulation principles (especially with powders, oils, fragrances, and colorants)
Experience setting up and managing production lines or small-scale manufacturing operations
Knowledge of health & safety regulations, GMP, and handling cosmetic ingredients
Excellent attention to detail and documentation discipline
Ability to train, supervise, and motivate production staff
Problem-solving mindset with ability to adapt processes as volumes grow
Preferred / Nice to Have
Previous experience in bath bombs, soaps, skincare, or cosmetics manufacturing
Familiarity with Canadian/US cosmetic product compliance and regulatory frameworks
Background in chemistry, cosmetic science, or related technical field
Experience in scaling small-batch recipes to large-scale production
