Project description

Responsibilities

  • Environment Operations Consultant: Environment deployment and Management Operations
  • Deploy and manage Murex Software needed for Murex client projects using Murex tools and scripts.
  • Perform basic smoke tests before delivering the needed products.
  • Act as a first-level support for already deployed Murex products, re-directing and following the issues with the corresponding support teams.
  • Performing system health checks and diagnostics (RAM, CPU, processes, etc.) to ensure optimal performance and uptime
  • Automating routine tasks Conversion of a customer database
  • Perform database sanitization and purging procedures
  • Migration sequence execution and stabilization Setting Methodologies and Procedures
  • Contribute to creating the environment and configuration management methodologies, conversion processes, communication workflows, and needed templates and documentation
  • Customize and document the installation and the conversion/upgrade procedures
  • Deliver needed training and best practices for Murex Clients and project teams
  • Manage internal streams: contribute to creating tools, measure related KPIs, and analyze potential issues Collaboration
  • Ensures good collaboration with the project team
  • Ensures good collaboration with customer Capitalization
  • Capitalizes on issues not related to a specific client
  • Contributes to product evolution (feedback to product teams, follow-up on defects and issues) Technical Skills
  • Degree in Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology Engineering (or related discipline)
  • Experience with scripting languages
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of technical machine specifications
  • Knowledge of XML manipulations
  • Knowledge of UNIX Operations with hands-on expertise in command-line operations
  • Knowledge of RDMS Operations
  • Understanding of the Financial markets

SKILLS

Must have

  • - Strong working knowledge of Murex Configuration and Environment management - Strong knowledge of scheduler software (e.g. Tidal, Autosys, JAMS, ) - Good understanding of MXTest - Good product knowledge/understanding in IRD, CRD, EQD, FXD - Good understanding of Workflows, Operations, Fixings process, Confirmations, and Trade Life Cycle - Strong functional and technical understanding of Murex - Good knowledge of the different post-trade interactions between the various actors of capital markets including service providers Must: - previous experience, min 2yrs, with Murex Environment management - MXTest Module (a plus) - Must have strong personality, logical and analytical skills - Be detailed-oriented, a quick learner and self-starter - Possess good verbal and written communication skills - Must have strong organization skills - Good SQL, Unix , Scripting , Sybase and Oracle skills

Nice to have

BS or higher degree in Finance, Mathematics or equivalent - Implementations and upgrades - Test management - Trade life cycle management - Market Data management - Knowledge in SQL (Oracle and/or Sybase) and Unix commands is a plus - Good understanding of Market Risk Management (including VaR, stress-tests, back-testing) - Client focus: understands clients' businesses; identifies and understands the needs and objectives of clients, both on an individual and corporate basis; builds strong relationships to aid Luxoft aim of being a trusted partner to the clients. - Communication skills: expresses ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing; adjusts language, terminology and non-verbal communication as appropriate. - Teamwork: works effectively with others; helps to build strong teams and networks. - Personal leadership: realistically identifies own skills, experience, knowledge and other personal attributes; displays confidence and resilience. - Planning and organizing: identifies and meets milestones; understands and articulates deliverables; assesses and mitigates risks; sticks to the scope of work and manages any changes. - Analytical decision-making: identifies and solves problems using insight and experience to make good decisions; gathers relevant information, identifying important issues and drawing conclusions.
