Job Title: Project Manager – Banking Domain

Location: Toronto, ON – Onsite

Employment Type: 6-12 Months Contract

Experience Required: 9+ Years

Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned
Project Manager
with extensive experience in the
Banking and Financial Services domain
to lead business-critical initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of delivering large-scale technology and transformation projects end-to-end, working with cross-functional teams, and managing stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage full project lifecycle from planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery
  • Define project scope, goals, timelines, budgets, risks, and success criteria
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to drive project execution
  • Track milestones, dependencies, risks, and ensure timely issue resolution
  • Develop and maintain project plans, reports, dashboards, and governance documentation
  • Present regular project status updates to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Manage vendor coordination and third-party deliverables, when applicable
  • Ensure compliance with banking, regulatory, security, and data governance standards
  • Facilitate workshops, sprint planning sessions, and requirement/refinement sessions
  • Support change management, UAT cycles, rollout, and post-implementation activities

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8-12 years of overall IT experience, including at least 3-4 years of project management experience.
  • Strong experience in Banking Domain.
  • PMP / PMI-ACP / Prince2 certification – Anyone.
  • Proven delivery experience across one or more of the following areas:
  • Digital banking
  • Core banking transformation
  • Payments / Cards / Lending / Wealth / Trade Finance
  • Regulatory / Risk & Compliance projects
  • Strong experience working with
    Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Demonstrated expertise in:
  • Project planning & execution
  • Risk / issue / dependency management
  • Stakeholder & vendor management
  • Budget & estimation management
  • Tools experience:
    Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Power BI, Excel, Visio
    (or similar)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with cloud migration projects (Azure/AWS/GCP)
  • Experience working with data, API, CRM, or enterprise platform initiatives
