Executive Chef

Located in quaint Innisfail, AB, Sunset Manor is a supportive living residence committed to the compassionate and dignified care of its residents. We are currently accepting applications for an Executive Chef position in our well-equipped kitchen. The successful candidate will be a professional, articulate, and friendly person who enjoys training others and is passionate about delicious, quality food and presentation.

Ideally, you have a Journeyman Certificate, Red Seal qualification, or 5 years experience in a similar care home environment and are familiar with all applicable health regulations. You consistently deliver high standards and ensure that all employees follow food safety, COVID-19, and hygiene protocols.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to all aspects of kitchen management:

• Budgeting
• Menu planning
• Inventory control
• Ordering
• Receiving
• Dietary restrictions
• Scheduling
• Food prep
• Safe workplace practices

Patience and empathy for the elderly are essential, as well as genuine concern and interest in providing quality services to our residents and their families.

A clean criminal record check is required for this position.
