Purpose of the Role:

The Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Coordinator plays a key role in supporting Nicola Wealth's People and Culture team to attract, hire, and integrate top talent. This position ensures a seamless candidate and new hire experience by coordinating recruitment activities, managing onboarding processes, and maintaining tools and resources that enable efficient workflows. Acting as a trusted partner to hiring managers and a welcoming point of contact for new employees, the Talent Aquisition and Onboarding Coordinator helps foster a positive culture and contributes to building a high-performing, diverse workforce. 

Core Responsibilities:
  • Partner with recruitment leads, hiring managers, and the People and Culture team to support end-to-end hiring processes. 
  • Prepare job postings, schedule interviews, and manage candidate communications. 
  • Administer assessments, conduct background checks, and issue offer letters. 
  • Deliver a welcoming new hire experience by managing all onboarding activities, including scheduling and tracking training and orientation sessions, leading online onboarding and orientation sessions, and ensuring timely completion of onboarding tasks by managers and new hires. 
  • Act as the primary contact for new hires, addressing questions and troubleshooting system issues in collaboration with payroll and technology teams. 
  • Administer quarterly onboarding surveys and share insights with the People and Culture team. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation, templates, and resources to enable seamless recruitment and onboarding workflows, while proactively identifying process improvements and efficiencies. 
  • Serve as the point person for Greenhouse ATS, identifying opportunities for process and system improvements. 
  • Keep all recruitment files and documentation organized and ensure compliance with internal standards. 
  • Contribute to People and Culture initiatives and special projects as needed. 
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years working in a fast paced, professional services firm in a client service-oriented capacity. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field an asset. 
  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and MS Teams. 
  • Experience working within Dayforce HCM and/or Greenhouse Recruiting is an asset. 
Compensation & Benefits Package:

This position comes with a base salary range of $50,000 - $60,000 plus a competitive performance bonus, RRSP contribution and participation in our profit-sharing program. Base salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
