THL Gourmet Foods Inc. is one of the leading importers and distributors of Asian food products from the Pacific Rim and other regions of the world. We are currently seeking a client-focused Sales Representative to support our Sales Team in the Food Service division, which specializes in serving customers in the restaurants industry.

Position Summary:

Are you passionate about the food industry and driven by results? We're looking for a dynamic and motivated Food Service Sales Representative to join our team and play a key role in growing our customer base, promoting new and existing products, and supporting our continued success.

This position involves local travel to meet customers, including restaurants, and food distributors, to grow and maintain customer accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Meet or exceed sales and gross profit targets through proactive account management and business development.
• Identify and develop new customer relationships within the food service or retail sector.
• Promote a wide range of food products and introduce new items to clients to enhance product visibility and customer satisfaction.
• Assess customer needs and provide customized product recommendations, merchandising advice, and solutions that align with their business goals.
• Monitor product shelf life and manage clearance of short-expiry items.
• Conduct market research and product analysis to identify trends and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.
• Follow up on accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of payments.

• Valid driver's license & reliable vehicle (ability to travel within British Columbia).

Assets/ Nice-to-Haves:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in the food service, preferably in restaurant supply, wholesale, or distribution.
• Ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into effective sales strategies.
• Multilingual communication skills (for example, Korean, Japanese, or Mandarin) are considered an asset to better serve our diverse client base. This is not a requirement; all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply regardless of language ability.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Expected Base Monthly Wage: $3,000 to $4,000
