A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As an Accounting Clerk at Photon Control Inc., a subsidiary of MKS Instruments, Inc. you will work closely with the other team members and the Manager of Accounting to assist with all aspects related to accounts payable and receivable. The job requires multi-tasking skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize competing tasks. In this role, you will report to the Manager of Accounting.

You Will Make an Impact By:
  • Manage accounts payable email address, download, and organize invoices for daily entry.
  • Responsible for entering PO & Non-PO invoices daily and ensure invoice coding is appropriate to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Reconcile supplier accounts as necessary to identify and prevent overdue accounts.
  • Lead efforts on identifying, investigating, and resolving discrepancies and issues with supplier invoices.
  • Month-end tasks as needed to support team achievement of timely month-end close.
  • Other clerical and administrative duties as needed.
Skills You Bring:
  • 1+ years of experience in a similar accounting role
  • Excellent verbal and email communication skills.
  • Highly detail oriented and organized.
  • Ability to problem solve, adapt to new challenges, and work independently.
  • Analytical – an investigator who takes the initiative to follow through on issues.
  • A team player who isn't afraid to roll-up their sleeves and help wherever is needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and withstand pressure of high-volume transactions.
  • Experience with accounting software.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
  • Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information. 
  • Operates in a professional office and/or laboratory/manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • Hybrid working environment.

Compensation:

Salary Pay Range: $55,373 - $62,500 CAD per year. This range is a reasonable expectation of pay for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience, education, training, operational and business needs and other considerations.
