The Role

We're hiring a Cabinet Shop Assistant to support production, shipping, and quality control.

You'll handle receiving materials, inspecting and wrapping finished parts, organizing jobs, and assisting with deliveries — keeping the shop efficient and accurate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and check incoming hardware and materials.
  • Match items to packing slips; inspect for damage and accuracy.
  • Label, store, and track materials in Microsoft To-Do and Excel.
  • Inspect finished cabinet parts using the Notability App; wrap and mark them as complete.
  • Keep all job parts together and organized.
  • Prepare and verify outgoing deliveries; supervise loading to prevent mix-ups.
  • Maintain clean and organized wrapping, QC, and receiving areas.
  • Support continuous improvement (Kaizen) and help refine shop processes.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in cabinetmaking, millwork, or manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and hands-on reliability.
  • Comfortable with apps (Microsoft To-Do, Excel, Notability).
  • Physically fit and team-oriented.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and eager to improve processes.
  • Forklift experience is an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
