Strategio - Accounting & Finance Data Analyst - Hybrid, Montreal, QC

The Opportunity:

Strategio is hiring an Accounting & Finance Data Analyst with proven experience in financial reporting, investment data, and accounting. This opportunity places you at the center of one of Canada's largest investment operations, where you'll help shape critical investment reports and support executive decision-making with insight-driven dashboards.

About you:

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to bridge complex financial statement logic with robust data skills. A strong understanding of the full lifecycle of publicly traded instruments, including setup, transactions, and reporting. Experience filling data collection templates and performing data mapping for accounting system migrations is essential.

As a Strategio Accounting & Finance Data Analyst, you will:

  • Analyze financial data and reporting needs from accounting and investment stakeholders.
  • Map and validate accounting data to Enterprise Service Bus and downstream BI platforms.
  • Create and support Power BI dashboards for financial and portfolio reporting.
  • Document, execute, and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for financial reports.
  • Fill data collection templates and support data migration during platform transitions.
  • Collaborate with data warehousing, accounting, and portfolio management teams.
  • Translate instrument lifecycle logic (Security Master, trades, transactions) into clean reporting.

Core Skills:

  • Strong SQL skills and experience creating reports in Power BI (must-have).
  • Deep knowledge of publicly traded instruments, portfolio accounting, and transactional workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to map accounting data and fill collection templates for migrations.
  • Skilled in UAT execution, reporting requirements gathering, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • CPA, CPA candidate, or similar financial accreditation (strongly preferred).
  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and financial teams.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Familiarity with SimCorp Extractors or Data Format Setup (DFS).
  • Certifications such as
    CFA, CPA
    ,
    FRM
    , or
    CBAP
    are a plus
  • Experience working in
    Agile
    or
    ITIL-aligned
    environments
  • Fluency in French.
