About the role:

The Menu Clerk is responsible and accountable for ensuring all patient menus are ready for the start of each meal. Obtaining patients' meal choices via computer for two meals daily. Providing front-line service to patients and families, particularly food and meal requests and queries. Responding to all phone calls related to patient feeding, catering, and other department business.

What you'll bring:

  • Minimum Grade 12 Education
  • Basic knowledge of therapeutic diets is an asset
  • Experience and or knowledge in food and nutrition basics is an asset
  • Demonstrated PC skills
  • Knowledge of Computrition Computer Application is an asset
  • Knowledge of HBOC is an asset
  • Knowledge of Excel spreadsheets is an asset
  • Meet deadlines, ability to multitask
  • Self-starter and works independently
  • Customer-oriented, able to deal with people, pleasant phone manner
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated problem assessment skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
  • Demonstrated individual leadership skills
