Pizza Maker

Overview

We are seeking a Pizza Maker/Culinary Clerk to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a background in food preparation and a genuine love for creating delicious pizzas. As a Pizza Maker/Culinary Clerk, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals to our customers while adhering to food safety standards and maintaining a clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications.
• Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet customer demands.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation throughout the cooking process.
• Greet customers, take orders, and provide recommendations on pizza choices and customization options.
• Pack pizza for take out ensure they are correctly labeled and secured.
• Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling ingredients.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and cutting tools.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and restock items.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service times.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.

Experience and Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
• Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and cooking methods specific to pizza is advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are necessary for success in this role.
• Position is required to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 20lbs working in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
