Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments tailored to client preferences
  • Provide personalized consultations to understand client needs and recommend suitable styles and products
  • Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas and tools to ensure client safety
  • Upsell retail products and additional services to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
  • Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and handling payments
  • Foster a friendly and professional atmosphere to ensure repeat business and positive reviews
  • Stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and industry best practices through ongoing education

Qualifications

  • Valid cosmetology or hairstylist license in accordance with state requirements
  • Proven experience in hair styling with a strong portfolio of work (preferred but not required)
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients
  • Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols in a salon environment
  • Ability to upsell products and retail items confidently without being pushy
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage clients professionally
  • Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is a plus
  • A friendly attitude, professionalism, and a passion for helping clients look and feel their best

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$36.24 per hour
