Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Decorator to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of our spaces, ensuring an inviting and memorable environment for guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for hospitality and design. Previous experience in restaurant or hotel settings is highly valued, along with a background in marketing, guest services, and upselling techniques. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ambiance and guest experience while developing your skills in a vibrant industry.

Duties

  • Collaborate with management to develop decorating themes that align with brand standards and event requirements
  • Select and arrange decor elements to create visually appealing environments for various occasions
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to source quality decor materials within budget constraints
  • Assist in setting up and dismantling decor for events, promotions, or seasonal changes
  • Engage with guests to provide exceptional customer service, offering personalized recommendations when appropriate
  • Implement upselling strategies to enhance guest experiences and increase revenue opportunities
  • Maintain inventory of decor supplies, ensuring proper storage and timely replenishment
  • Ensure all decorating activities adhere to safety standards and company policies
  • Support marketing efforts by creating visually compelling displays that promote special offers or events

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in hospitality, restaurant, or hotel environments preferred
  • Strong knowledge of marketing principles and guest service excellence
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability in time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects efficiently
  • Experience with budgeting for decor projects is a plus
  • Ability to work creatively within brand guidelines while showcasing innovation in design
  • Familiarity with upselling techniques and customer engagement strategies
  • Prior experience in hospitality-related roles such as restaurant or hotel service is advantageous
  • A passion for creating welcoming atmospheres that enhance guest satisfaction

Pay: $17.85-$35.86 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
