Job Description

  • Dedicated round trip yard trailer switch between Mississauga and our Laredo, TX yard
  • Company provided plates, fuel cards, ELD, and tolls (if any).
  • Very minimal deliveries to make = no downtime.
  • This will be a long term commitment, so we are looking for operating team with the same intention.

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial driver's license for both drivers with a spotless CVOR abstract and driving record
  • Minimum 3 years verifiable experience either through insurance or previous employer. Preference will go to those who have been down to TX and similar routes
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Must be self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.

Requirements

  • Power unit MUST be newer than 2024 with less than 350,000KM, Maintenance records should be spot on.
  • Fast card will be an asset
  • Experience driving in the US is essential, specifically the TX lane and knowledge of the route.
  • Canadian Citizen
  • Proper use of ELD and ability to keep all maintenance logs, fuel receipts, mileage, etc.
  • CLEAN CVOR AND DRIVER ABSTRACT (please do not apply if you do not have minimum 3 years verifiable for both drivers)
  • Drivers and Trucks will have to pass company safety certification and road test.

Duties

  • Operate and maintain a commercial vehicle for the transportation of freight.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding transportation and safety.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate records, including mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance logs.
  • Communicate effectively with account manager regarding any potential delays.
