FCC Construcción, through its subsidiary FCC Canada, has been present in Canada for more than 25 years. In 2011, it was awarded the contract to the extension of a section of the Toronto subway expansion, the city's first modern subway infrastructure project. This project was completed in 2019.

Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations (PTUS) FCC Canada, in a 50/50 joint venture with Webuild Civil Works Inc., will deliver the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations section of the Ontario Line. This includes the design, construction, supply, and operation of three kilometres of twin tunnels underneath Pape Avenue between the Gerrard tunnel portal and the Don Valley bridge, two underground stations (Pape and Cosburn), two tunnel portals, three emergency exit buildings, and a rail switch/crossover near Sammon Avenue.

The Pape Station connection will interface with the Toronto Transit Commission Line 2 subway and related works.

Position Summary This role is vital in supporting the MEP Construction team with strategic planning, coordination, and oversight of MEP-related works, particularly in alignment with 3 rd Party interfaces and requirements and overall project goals. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the integration of MEP systems with architectural and structural elements, while effectively managing 3rd party interfaces and project objectives. Candidate will lead interdisciplinary coordination meetings with consultants and contractors, review and manage 3D BIM models, identify and resolve technical clashes, and drive solutions that maintain project timelines and quality standards.

The Senior MEP Coordinator Key Responsibilities Are

• Support the MEP Construction Lead in planning and executing MEP integration and coordination strategies.
• Engage and collaborate with design team counterparts, client representatives, construction teams, and subcontractors to ensure seamless execution.
• Oversee and supervise the development of 3D models, especially those related to third-party scope, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in Working group meetings and assist on the discussions on MEP coordination matters , identifying risks, proposing solutions and driving decisions aligned with requirements and schedule .
• Identify and resolve coordination conflicts in the model and ensuring installation complies with building codes, safety standards and transit-specific safety requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of MEP scope of works and contribute to technical evaluations for construction support services.
• Coordinate closely with the MEP execution team throughout the entire project lifecycle, providing inputs.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and ensure third-party coordination is managed effectively and ensure additional requirements are integrated in the design.
• Support documentation, progress reporting, risk tracking, schedule alignment

Education And Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP coordination on large-scale construction projects.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in transit construction, preferably involving underground stations.

Job Requirements

• Experience with third-party coordination and stakeholder management is essential.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Autodesk Construction Cloud and MS Project.
• Strong knowledge of BIM LOD development for reviewing the clash detections and review and coordination tools.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Strong presentation and reporting abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment .
