What You Will Get To Do

By effectively building positive rapport and relationships both internally and externally, the successful candidate will help us achieve our mission that together we deliver services that make a difference in our community.

Reporting to the Manager of Fitness and Aquatic Services, the Part-time Fitness Programmer is responsible for:

  • health club and program supervision;

  • fitness assessments; 

  • exercise correction and prescription; 

  • client personal training; 

  • customer service in the health club; 

  • public relations in the recreation centre; 

  • enforcing all established Health Club standards, procedure, protocols with patrons; and 

  • performing other duties as may be assigned.

What You Bring To Our Team

As the successful applicant you must possess:

  • A diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in Recreation/Fitness Centre Leadership;

  • certification in CPR/AED (Level C or HCP) and Standard First Aid;

  • current CSEP-CPT certification;

  • the ability to communicate orally and in written form in a clear and concise manner;

  • well-developed interpersonal and public relations skills; and

  • a valid, satisfactory police criminal record check to work with the vulnerable sector.

Salary Range/Hourly rate:

$ $30.26

Flex hours, including days, evenings and weekends (maximum of 24 hours per week).
