Position Overview:

As a Membership Sales Associate at Orangetheory Fitness, you will be the first point of contact for prospective members and play a key role in driving membership sales and studio growth. You will be responsible for driving membership sales, providing excellent customer service by building strong relationships with current and prospective members, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the studio. Your role is critical in creating a welcoming atmosphere, engaging with members, and promoting Orangetheory's fitness philosophy. You will also assist with community outreach events to expand the brand's reach. You'll work alongside a dedicated team to build relationships with current and potential members to help them make informed decisions about their fitness journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive membership sales through effective lead generation, phone calls, follow-ups, and in-person consultations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospective and current members.
  • Conduct studio tours, educating potential members about the Orangetheory Fitness philosophy, classes, and membership options.
  • Provide information on the benefits of joining, including membership pricing and promotional offers.
  • Close sales and meet or exceed individual and team membership goals.
  • Follow up with leads to ensure a smooth onboarding process and answer any questions potential members may have.
  • Assist in membership retention efforts by maintaining strong communication and providing ongoing support to current members.
  • Collaborate with the fitness team to enhance the member experience and foster a positive studio culture.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge regarding membership options, fitness programs, and related services.
  • Process membership contracts and payments in an accurate and timely manner.

Studio Maintenance:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming studio environment, including cleaning equipment, restocking supplies, and tidying up after classes.
  • Represent Orangetheory Fitness at health fairs, local events, and other promotional opportunities in the community.

  • Ensure that all areas of the studio, including the front desk, bathroom, and fitness floor, meet cleanliness standards.
  • Monitor equipment and report any issues to management, ensuring that the studio remains in top condition for classes and members.
  • Assist with setting up or breaking down equipment for classes or events as needed.

  • Community Outreach & Events:

  • Assist and participating in local community outreach events to increase brand visibility and attract new members.
  • Represent Orangetheory Fitness at health fairs, local events, and other promotional opportunities in the community.

  • Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of membership pricing, promotional offers, and the Orangetheory Fitness program.
  • Process membership contracts, payments, and cancellations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Help promote and encourage member participation in challenges, workshops, or special events.
  • Collaborate with the team to create an exceptional member experience and maintain a positive, energetic studio culture.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Requirements:
  • Post Secondary Education, diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field is an asset).

  • Sales Experience:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a sales-driven environment is required
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience in lead generation, follow-up, and closing sales.
  • Strong understanding of customer relationship management (CRM) tools is a plus.

  • Customer Service:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with a diverse group of people.
  • A passion for fitness and helping others improve their health and wellness.
  • Ability to handle objections and overcome challenges while maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Fitness Knowledge:

  • Basic knowledge of fitness concepts and the ability to explain the benefits of Orangetheory Fitness' unique approach to health and wellness.
  • A willingness to learn and develop deeper knowledge about the fitness industry and Orangetheory's offerings.

  • Additional Skills:

  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Comfortable with basic computer skills and using CRM software.

  • Flexible availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and some evenings.
  • Ability to work at local community outreach events and other promotional activities outside of regular studio hours.
