Labourer – DC FormingPosition Summary

The Labourer is the foundation of DC Forming's operations — supporting our crews in every phase of construction and ensuring each project runs safely, smoothly, and efficiently. You'll assist carpenters and foremen in stripping and organizing forms, cleaning and maintaining materials, and keeping the job site safe and orderly.

This role demands energy, initiative, and a strong work ethic. A great labourer anticipates what needs to be done, stays organized, and helps the team stay productive without needing constant direction.

Working alongside Carpenters and Foremen, you'll help maintain the construction schedule, enforce safety policies, and ensure the quality and accuracy DC Forming is known for.

We take on a wide range of work — from small residential to large industrial and commercial projects.

Performance Objectives

  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently and within set timelines.
  • Assist carpenters and foremen with formwork, stripping, and setup.
  • De-nail and clean lumber as materials become available.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times.
  • Proactively find productive tasks without needing direct supervision.
  • Complete all required safety paperwork accurately each day.
  • Follow all company policies, site rules, and safety procedures.
  • Continue developing skills and knowledge of construction tools and practices.

  • Follows directions accurately and works efficiently.
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated attitude.
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools safely.
  • Organized and dependable, with attention to detail.
  • Communicates clearly and works well in a team.

  • Physically capable of performing labour-intensive tasks in all weather conditions.

Certifications

  • Basic safety training and fall protection are assets.
  • WHMIS or other site safety certificates are beneficial but not required.
