Job Summary
Our client, is a trusted mechanic auto centre that is dedicated to providing high-quality automotive services and excellent customer care. We are looking for a skilled and reliable Service Support Specialist to join their team and support both the customer-facing and back-office functions of their auto centre.
Position Summary
The Service Support Specialist will be responsible for greeting customers, scheduling appointments, processing payments, managing bookkeeping records, and liaising with suppliers. This role is key to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in a busy automotive service environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers in person and by phone, schedule appointments, and maintain the shop calendar.
- Provide service estimates, process invoices, and handle payments.
- Record daily sales, expenses, and reconcile accounts receivable/payable.
- Maintain supplier relationships, order parts, and track deliveries.
- Organize records of work orders, warranties, and service history.
- Support management and mechanics with administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- 4 to 5 years of experience in customer service, office administration, or bookkeeping.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to handle cash and maintain financial accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and email systems.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
Work Environment
- Split between reception/front desk and administrative tasks.
- Frequent interaction with customers, suppliers, and mechanics.
- May require occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
