Job Title:
Project Manager

Position Summary

The Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination, execution, and completion of the Technical Floor relocation, including Ground Production, Mezzanine, Repairs, and Simulator Labs, from the current facility to the new site. This role requires strong project management expertise, excellent stakeholder coordination, and the ability to drive a seamless transition with minimal disruption to operations or ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Execution

  • Lead the full lifecycle of the technical floor relocation with minimal impact to business operations and project schedules.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, baseline schedules, and execution plans.
  • Coordinate all relocation activities, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and software test schedules.

Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination

  • Work closely with Project Planners, Lab Support, contractors (labeling, documenting, dismantling), moving teams, test personnel, and Project Managers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication and alignment.

Budget & Risk Management

  • Track and manage project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints.
  • Identify risks and develop contingency and mitigation strategies throughout the relocation process.

Communication & Reporting

  • Provide clear, ongoing project updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of schedules, equipment inventories, changes, and relocation activities.

Technical Oversight & Post-Relocation Support

  • Ensure the smooth migration of repair, production, mezzanine, and simulator labs with minimal downtime.
  • Oversee post-move testing, troubleshooting, and readiness to ensure all systems are operational.
  • Confirm infrastructure readiness to support seamless remote access between IT systems and labs.
  • Be available after 5 p.m. during critical equipment moves to support onsite activities.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Coordinate equipment move schedules with logistics providers and external partners
  • Manage inventory of lab and technical equipment to ensure accurate tracking and no loss during relocation.
  • Support labs and production teams to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Conduct a post-move review and prepare a summary report with lessons learned and improvement recommendations.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience managing office or technical relocations, including IT infrastructure and electrical/electronic equipment racks.
  • Strong project planning skills with the ability to develop detailed schedules and resource plans.
  • Excellent risk assessment and contingency planning capabilities.
  • Skilled in stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience managing external vendors and coordinating complex moves.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain thorough documentation throughout the project.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of IT project management experience, preferably involving relocations or infrastructure migrations.
  • Strong technical understanding of IT infrastructure and electronic lab environments.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification (preferred but not required).
