Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of our commercial facilities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning, commercial janitorial work, and facilities maintenance, with a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and functionality. Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as inspecting and repairing equipment, fixtures, and general building infrastructure.
  • Assist with building upkeep — light repairs, replacing fixtures, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all work areas, storage spaces, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate cleaning schedules and maintenance activities efficiently.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, maintenance tools, and report when replenishment is needed.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a secure environment for staff and visitors.
  • Aid in general groundskeeping and ensure exterior areas are tidy and well-maintained.
  • Report facility issues promptly to management and assist with coordinating contractors for necessary repairs.
  • Ensure the facility is secure and locked up at the end of each workday.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in cleaning, janitorial, or commercial facility maintenance preferred.
  • Background in general maintenance, repairs, or building management is an asset.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safety procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
  • Physically capable of performing manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
