Position Objective

To cut, trim, and prepare meat products according to specifications while ensuring food safety, quality, and efficiency.

Main Responsibilities

  • Trim with a knife, cut and prepare various meat species
  • Machine operations including bandsaw and stew dicer
  • Laying product onto trays and smokehouse trucks
  • Package/vacuum/box/palletize customer orders
  • Ensure work area is kept clean and work conditions are safe
  • Report any deviations to Lead Hand
  • Follow established procedures, product specs and cutting techniques
  • Follow all HACCP and Health & Safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Meat Processing Certificate Program and/or a three-year meat cutting apprenticeship.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting Wage: $22.00/hour (based on experience)

Work Location

  • In-person at Nossack Fine Meats, Red Deer, AB
  • Reliable commute or relocation required before starting work
