About the CSRC
Set to open in 2029, the CSRC will complete Providence's vision of creating a highly functional academic health care campus and ensure Providence continues to be on the forefront of medical breakthroughs with global impact.
Located on the Jim Pattison Medical Campus and connected with a skybridge to the new St. Paul's Hospital, the future Clinical Support and Research Centre (CSRC) is poised to be Vancouver's first-ever health care innovation hub. Specifically designed to enable breakthroughs in medical discovery, the CSRC will bring together world-class clinician-scientists, medical staff, patients, researchers, industry experts, innovators and essential corporate support services. Together, they will converge to change and improve the lives of British Columbians for generations to come.
The CSRC project team prioritizes employee growth and learning opportunities. Team members are encouraged to develop career plans and are enabled to attend conferences, pursue certifications, and undertake additional training in line with their career plans. The team works under a hybrid model, with some requirements to maintain a presence at the office and at the construction site and some flexibility to work remotely.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technology Systems Implementation, the Project Manager will manage a portfolio of workplans for IT Infrastructure program areas, facilitate processes, and collaborate with subject matter experts and partners to achieve deliverables. You will use your understanding of a variety of IT Infrastructure topics, clinical readiness and strong relationship-building skills, while moving multiple high-level strategies and plans into action.
This role requires demonstrated expertise in leading and delivering complex IT infrastructure initiatives, including:
- internet service providers (ISPs) and UBC network integration
- server and network infrastructure
- structured cabling and interconnectivity with hospital systems
- telecommunications spaces
- Wi Fi and distributed antenna systems (DAS)
- building management system (BMS) integration
- security, duress, and public address systems
- audiovisual and digital signage solutions
- room booking technologies
- consolidation strategies; and end user devices
The ideal candidate brings:
- Recent, related experience that includes project and change management, as well as successfully managing significant large projects or initiatives.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey and negotiate complex ideas or contractual interpretations.
- Experience with interpreting construction drawings and understanding how those drawings relate to what is being built on site.
- Experience in implementing clinical operations projects and/or redevelopment projects would be an asset.
- Experience with IT Infrastructure systems design and procurement, program and project management, collaborator engagement and team leadership skills.
- Familiar with the PHSA Communications Infrastructure Standards and Specifications.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of PHSA PDHIS governance and engagement processes (preferred).
- Experience with a network deployment at a PHSA PDHIS managed acute site (preferred).
- PMP, Prosci, or related change management certification would be an asset.
What You Bring
Education
A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Business, Engineering or Trades Qualification supplemented by formal training such as a Building Construction Technology Certificate, or relevant discipline with a minimum of ten (10) years' recent, related experience in project management, supervision, and facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of collaborator groups. Project Management Professional Designation considered an asset. Experience or working knowledge of quality improvement methodology and change management is key to the success of this role.

- Demonstrated computer literacy with relevant software, spreadsheet, project management and database applications.
- Ability to operate related equipment including applicable software applications.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.
