Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in food preparation, cooking, and ensuring that all dishes meet our restaurant's standards for taste and presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and cooking equipment.
  • Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling dishes.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
  • Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure quality.
  • Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other staff members.
  • A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new culinary skills.
