Key Responsibilities:

· Assist visitors, and employee during crisis and contact the necessary emergency services as needed

· Ensure that the property is safe by ensuring all security measures are functioning properly

· Enthusiastically conducts proactive patrols (exterior and Interior), and be able to address policy breeches, and note facility concerns.

· Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner as not to create a panic amongst the public

· Ability to de-escalate a crisis, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including; police, fire and paramedic resources.

· Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries

· Ability to provide first aid and medical response when required to any person

· Maintain positive and constructive relationships with The Client's staff and external clients by providing timely and accurate support as required.

· Perform duties and tasks assigned by the Security Leadership team and respond to the directions of the client

 Job Requirements:  

 Must possess Ontario Security Guard License.  First Aid & CPR – Level C  Valid G Class Ontario Driver's License & Drivers Abstract  Post-Secondary education in law enforcement from a recognized institution or equivalent experience is preferred  Physical Demands include excessive walking and standing.  Patrol area on foot and vehicle as assigned, to ensure personal, building, and equipment security.  Utilize radio and computer applications for communicating site activities.  Watch for and report irregularities by completing incident reports, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations; contact emergency responders, such as police, fire, and/or ambulance personnel, as required.  Superior written and verbal communication skills.  Must possess excellent computer skills.  Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact, and diplomacy.  Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

-A Valid Ontario Security Guard License 

-Proficient in English (both oral and written) 

-Vulnerable Sector Check   

-Management of Agressive Behaviour
