Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Accessories Sales, Planning & Marketing to support our Accessories and Connected Technologies team. This is a full-time opportunity and will report to the National Manager, Accessories and Connected Technologies.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Ideate new product categories and create business plans to create new accessories

  • Manage the forecast of sales and profit for accessories in fiscal year

  • Develop plans and strategies to achieve the accessories sales through customer campaigns, dealer training, marketing content collaborations with Tier 1 marketing and others

  • Manage accessories inventory level in partnership with Pars Operations to minimize stock and scrap while optimizing service rate

  • Plan, research/investigate competitive pricing levels for current/new accessories and recommend pricing strategies

  • Negotiate terms and conditions of local product supply, including prices with vendors

  • Develops an annual budget, monitor the expenditures to ensure compliance within the approved amounts

  • Manage the Merchandising Program

  • Builds on performance capabilities through effective coaching and mentoring of consultants

  • Initiates and implements appropriate 'kaizen' (continuous improvement) efforts which results in work efficiencies relating to cost reduction or avoidance, improved time and process efficiencies

  • Creation, review & kaizen of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); · Standardizes and shares successes across the team or organization through 'yokoten' (shares best practices) and monthly executive updates

  • On-going Zone visits to obtain feedback and coordinate marketing activities through Zone SMAGS & PSMAGS

  • Generate export business plan

  • Manage accessories launch timelines and plans

  • Other duties as requested and required

People Management

  • Provide timely guidance, coaching, feedback, and accountability for direct reports to drive learning & development and successful project completion

  • Lead team members to foster collaboration, understanding, support & Kaizen (continuous improvement) resulting in work efficiencies

  • Empower the team to take initiative and proactively influence the business

What You'll Bring:

  • University degree in Business, Marketing or a related discipline

  • Five to ten years related experience within the automotive industry

  • Solid knowledge of retail vehicles, parts and service operations and wholesale parts sales and distribution

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills

  • Strong written and interpersonal skills

  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills

  • Proven ability to initiate & Improve work processes to increase efficiencies and create business case proposals

  • Bilingual (English & French) an asset
