Job Description

Reporting to the Clinical Service Manager, you will work closely with the team leader, staff and physicians to provide clerical support as required.

Accountabilities:

  • Reception
  • Telephone answering
  • Transcribing doctor's orders
  • Booking of clinic appointments
  • Order entry
  • Receiving, admitting and discharging of patients
  • Oher related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma
  • Medical terminology course/certificate required
  • Minimum of two years recent related experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Word processing and computer experience; Meditech and Windows
  • 45/wpm typing skills
  • Previous ward clerk/clerical associate experience
  • Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration
  • Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record
  • May be required to travel between and work at all Osler sites
Additional Information

Currently Days/Evenings/Nights including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)

Salary:  

Minimum:  $26.31 per hour

Maximum: $28.49 per hour
