Responsibilities

Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Ensure compliance with GAAP and all relevant regulatory requirements

Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and financial records

Monitor financial performance and provide insights to support decision-making

Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting

Oversee internal and external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting

Ensure compliance with all financial laws and regulations

Supervise, mentor, and develop members of the accounting team

Define performance metrics, training plans, and career development paths

Optimize accounting processes and financial systems for efficiency and scalability

Implement new tools, technologies, and best practices to improve financial workflows

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field

CPA designation or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a Controller or similar role

Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and budgeting

Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Dext, Finale, or similar, as well as Excel

Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills

High attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Strong business acumen with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset

Experience in a startup or high-growth environment is an asset

Experience in the apparel or retail industry is an asset

Principales responsabilités

Diriger la préparation et l'analyse des états financiers mensuels, trimestriels et annuels

Assurer la conformité aux normes comptables (PCGR/GAAP) et aux exigences réglementaires

Maintenir l'exactitude et l'intégrité du grand livre et des registres financiers

Suivre et analyser la performance financière de l'entreprise

Mettre en place et maintenir des contrôles internes solides en matière de rapports financiers

Superviser les audits internes et externes, les déclarations fiscales et les obligations réglementaires

Veiller au respect de toutes les lois et réglementations financières

Encadrer, former et développer les membres de l'équipe comptable

Définir des indicateurs de performance, des plans de formation et de développement de carrière

Optimiser les processus comptables et les systèmes financiers pour soutenir la croissance

Implanter de nouveaux outils, technologies et meilleures pratiques afin d'améliorer l'efficacité des processus financiers

Profil recherché

Baccalauréat en comptabilité, finance, administration ou domaine connexe

Titre CPA ou combinaison équivalente de formation et d'expérience

Minimum de 5 ans d'expérience progressive en comptabilité, dont au moins 2 ans dans un rôle de contrôleur ou équivalent

Excellente maîtrise des normes comptables, de la production de rapports financiers et des budgets

Aisance avec des logiciels comptables tels que QuickBooks, Dext, Finale ou équivalents, et Excel

Solides compétences analytiques, en leadership et en communication

Grand souci du détail et capacité à respecter des échéanciers serrés

Bon sens des affaires et approche proactive orientée solutions

Expérience en environnement de démarrage ou de forte croissance, un atout important
