Job Summary

We are seeking a self-motivated accountant who can work for multiple companies in our group. The qualified candidate must be able to learn quickly and thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment.

Job Title : Junior Accountant

Job Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • General ledger maintenance including journal entries and accruals
  • General ledger reconciliations including bank accounts and credit cards
  • Payroll administration and reconciliation
  • Understanding, preparing and remitting HST, source deductions, and corporate tax
  • Preparing month-end reports and ad hoc reports for management
  • Year-end preparation
  • Coordinating with and assisting external tax accountants
  • Providing recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and cost control based on financial insights

Required experience & skills

  • 3+years of experience in bookkeeping
  • Prior experience at law firms, real estate brokerages or property management companies will be considered as an asset
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to self-start
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to adapt to new software systems
  • Ability to work on multiple companies
  • Attention to detail

Flexible language requirement:

  • French not required
