We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Teacher to inspire and educate students across various subjects. Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for high school students.
  • Deliver engaging instruction in subjects such as Math, English, French, or Spanish, utilizing effective teaching methods.
  • Provide tutoring and additional support to students requiring extra assistance, including those with special education needs or disabilities.
  • Assess student performance through tests, assignments, and projects; provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and progress reports using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and respect.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior.
  • Incorporate technology into lessons to enhance learning experiences; utilize computer skills effectively during instruction.
  • Manage classroom behavior and implement discipline policies consistently.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events to stay current with educational best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject area; teaching certification preferred.
  • Prior classroom experience at the high school level is highly desirable.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French or Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with tutoring students of diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities or special education needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and computer skills relevant to teaching technology integration.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to work well with colleagues, students, and parents.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.20 per hour
