Job Overview:

The Credit Analyst II role supports Essex Lease Financial Corporations objectives through the review, recommendation and approval of industrial equipment finance applications. The position involves working closely with the Essex sales team, documentation specialist, and our customers to provide tailored solutions that match customer needs.

demonstrated experience analyzing credit applications and financial statements
within the
equipment finance or leasing industry
. Applicants without this background will not be considered.

This is a full-time position based in our Calgary, AB office. The position reports to the Credit Manager (AVP, Credit) as part of a collaborative team. Professional growth within the organization will be encouraged.   

Individual Key Contributions/Responsibilities

  • Review and recommend conventional, near-conventional and asset-based credit applications, through financial statement analysis, equipment evaluation, industry evaluation, and overall assessment of credit risk.
  • Work closely with customers and members of Essex's sales team to develop tailored financial solutions based on a customers unique circumstance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of credit applications.
  • Aid in implementing and managing credit department projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry associates.
  • Aid Essex management and stakeholders in meeting corporate goals.

  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Post-Secondary Degree in relevant field: Business Marketing, Commerce preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in the Equipment Finance / Leasing Industry preferred.
