Job Summary: We are looking for an attentive and experienced Server to join our team. The Server will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience. The ideal candidate is friendly, efficient, and has excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout their meal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Interaction: Greet guests, present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
  • Order Taking: Accurately take food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff in a timely manner.
  • Serving Food and Beverages: Serve orders promptly, ensuring guests are satisfied with their meals, and attend to any special requests or dietary restrictions.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including setting and clearing tables, and ensuring all service areas are stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Payment Processing: Manage bills and process payments accurately, handling cash and credit transactions according to company policies.
  • Customer Service: Respond to guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and a positive attitude, ensuring all needs are met promptly.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all health, safety, and food handling guidelines, including adherence to provincial and federal regulations regarding alcohol service.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a server or in a customer-facing role within the hospitality industry.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Ability to handle guest inquiries and complaints gracefully.
  • Certifications: Provincial alcohol service certification is required (e.g., Smart Serve in Ontario) for establishments that serve alcohol.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift trays, and perform tasks requiring physical endurance.

  • Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
