Job Summary

We are seeking a part-time Quality Technician who provides essential food safety and quality support during brief overnight hours (approximately 2-3 hours per night). This role focuses on targeted verification tasks that help ensure cleaning meets regulatory and company standards.

Duties

  • Conduct focused nightly inspections for compliance with food safety, sanitation, and GMP requirements.
  • Monitor key operational practices aligned with the Enhanced Food Safety Program.
  • Verify cleanliness of designated equipment and facility areas; document and report any deviations for follow-up.
  • Perform limited microbiological swabbing and assist with basic interpretation or documentation of results.
  • Support nightly sanitation verification and contribute to short GMP check-ins or audits.
  • Assist with preliminary complaint-related information gathering when required.
  • Communicate basic food safety reminders to production staff as needed.
  • Perform other targeted QA/QC tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Food Safety, Microbiology, Chemistry, Nutrition, or a related field preferred.
  • English fluency; Chinese language ability is considered an asset.
  • Comfortable working briefly in manufacturing conditions (noise, machinery, cold areas).
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills, with the ability to complete tasks efficiently within a short shift.
  • Capable of working independently and communicating effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Availability to work short night shifts (approx. 2 hours/night) with occasional weekend or overtime needs depending on production schedules.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
