Job Summary:

Bio-Test Laboratory is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Assistant to support our fast-paced private clinical laboratory. This role is cross-trained in phlebotomy, specimen processing, client services, and data integrity tasks to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional service to our patients and provider clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform venipuncture as needed.
  • Receive, accession, and prepare specimens for testing or referral.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, clinics, and providers.
  • Enter and verify data in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
  • Conduct routine data checks to ensure accuracy of patient and test information.
  • Assist with general administrative and quality-control tasks.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • MLA or phlebotomy training/certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in a private clinical lab is an asset.
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
