Hotel Accountant

We are pleased to invite a dedicated Hotel Accountant to join our team. In this part-time role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting of all property revenues. Your expertise will support the hotels financial integrity and contribute to smooth, efficient operations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collect cash from all departments, count, prepare deposits and reconcile to daily reports.
- Record daily financial transactions, balancing credit/debit/cash and payments, verifying revenue posted and reconciling all daily reporting (Voids, Coupons, Promotions recorded etc.)
- Ensure all transactions comply with financial policies and procedures and have been properly authorized by the correct management and team members
- Identify errors or anomalies (cash or inventory shortages, deposit errors, posting errors etc.) and work with management to rectify issues.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable, including batching payables, payment application to accounts etc.
- Enter daily time sheets for payroll processing and prepare daily labour reports. Process payroll semimonthly for all hourly employees.
- Maintain employee records for payroll purposes.
- Collaborate with General Manager, Human Resources (HR), Corporate Accounting, and other teams as needed to accomplish daily job duties

Requirements:
- Experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant in a similar role.
- Basic knowledge of payroll as well as accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Experience in administrative and human resources functions is a plus.
