The Role
We're seeking experienced
MEP Project Managers
to oversee the on-site delivery of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for Nscale's hyperscale data centre projects.

You will be responsible for
managing the technical and construction execution of MEP packages
, ensuring all systems are designed, installed, commissioned, and handed over in accordance with Nscale's quality, safety, and performance standards.

This is a position requiring strong technical knowledge, leadership in coordination, and proactive engagement with contractors to ensure seamless integration across all MEP disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all on-site MEP construction activities across multiple contractors, ensuring delivery to specification, budget, schedule, and Nscale's technical standards. Manage all interfaces between mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, and building systems to guarantee full integration and operational readiness.
  • Provide technical oversight through detailed review of designs, drawings, and submittals, conducting routine inspections to ensure safety, quality, and performance. Identify and resolve technical issues, and oversee commissioning documentation, testing results, and handover packages.
  • Manage day-to-day communication with MEP contractors, consultants, and suppliers, chairing coordination meetings to track progress, address technical and safety issues, and align with broader project disciplines including Civil, Structural, Architectural, and Controls. Support commercial processes such as change management, claims, and validation of progress.
  • Monitor MEP progress against the master programme; tracking construction, procurement and commissioning milestones, and reporting cost, quality, risk, and performance metrics to project leadership while ensuring full regulatory and health & safety compliance.
  • Promote continuous improvement by embedding best practices in safety, sustainability, and energy efficiency, contributing to lessons learned, and helping refine Nscale's MEP delivery standards while staying aware of emerging technologies and methods in the hyperscale and mission-critical sector.

Who You Are

  • 6+ years' experience in MEP project delivery, including time spent project managing large scale data centre or mission-critical projects.
  • Degree-qualified or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline)
  • Proven track record in delivering large MEP scopes from installation through commissioning and handover.
  • Strong understanding of power systems, cooling infrastructure, HVAC, controls, and fire protection systems within critical environments.
  • Experienced in contractor management, coordination, and performance monitoring on complex multi-package projects.
  • Strong understanding of commissioning processes and operational readiness requirements.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator, with the ability to influence and coordinate across disciplines and stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English; Norwegian advantageous.
  • Willingness to be site-based in Norway on rotation, weekly travel or relocation

Please note this is a site-based role working on projects in Europe - initially in Norway. We are exploring various arrangements such as full time relocation for the duration and rotations. There will be a living / relocation allowances provided.
