Overview

Talisman Flowers is seeking an experienced, skilled Full-Time Florist to join our family-owned flower shop. This role is suited to a professional floral designer who can work independently, manage daily production, and provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment

This is a hands on position involving floral design, customer consultation, POS transactions, and day-to-day shop operations.

Compensation

  • Wage is commensurate with experience

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and create floral arrangements for daily orders, weddings, events, and sympathy work
  • Provide excellent customer service in-store and by phone
  • Process customer orders and payments using the POS system
  • Receive, process, and properly care for fresh flowers and plants
  • Maintain floral quality, inventory rotation, and cooler organization
  • Prepare orders accurately for pickup and delivery
  • Maintain and clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Work collaborately with team members during busy periods
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

  • Floral design experience is a must
  • Proven ability to design and execute arrangements independently
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods
  • Availability required for weekends and peak floral holidays (e.g., Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Easter, Christmas Season)

Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete an in-shop floral design skills assessment as part of the interview process

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
