The Role: Reporting to the Meat Department Head (or his/her delegates), the Meat Associate is responsible for providing good service to our customers by fulfilling their requests, maintaining inventory and workplace cleanliness.

  • Major Responsibilities: Assist customers in selecting meat products and provide recommendations as needed
  • Maintain inventory and product quality; ensure full display of various meat products
  • Cut, pack and label various meat products and display them in the display coolers
  • Label frozen meat products and place them into the display cooler
  • Maintain workplace cleanliness, wash and ensure relevant work tools are clean and well-kept
  • Keep warehouse, display and walk-in coolers clean and tidy
  • Follow procedures to process expired products and manage shrinkage

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

  • Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements: Accountable, pleasant and is able to take initiative

  • Friendly and have a passion for serving our customers
  • Flexible to work in shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evenings and statutory holidays
  • Able to stand for long periods, handle products hands-on, and lift products of up to 40 pounds on a regular basis
  • A good team player
  • Not allergic to handling meat products
  • Knowledge of basic work safety
    Relevant experience in handling meat products is preferred
