YOU

You are already a certified Wildlife and/or Pest Bird Technician or in early stages of a Carpentry career or an experienced journeyman.

You are proficient in using carpentry tools and equipment and ready to apply to complex wildlife problems.

  • Not be afraid of heights or confined spaces

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect buildings and outside areas of property to detect signs of wildlife & Rodent intrusion.
  • Provide estimates for custom jobs
  • Humanely remove and exclude wildlife from homes and structures.
  • Repair wildlife damage and wildlife-proof entry points including locations on roof, in siding or fascia, or foundation.
  • Educate clients on how to prevent nuisance wildlife problems
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Work in various weather conditions.
  • Operate in confined spaces including attics and crawlspaces.
  • Use of power/hand tools, insulation/restoration equipment.
  • Job assignments may include positions such as crouching, squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing up & down ladders, carrying ladders and other equipment.
  • Perform pest related clean-ups
  • Regularly solicit new business from new potential clients
  • Comply with all company health and safety policies
  • Work within Solace Pest Solutions territory
  • On-call support once per month
  • Other pest related jobs

Requirements:

  • High-School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid G driver's license with clean abstract.
  • Be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Proven ability to safely work at heights.
  • 8 hour shifts – Primarily weekdays with flexibility with hours.
  • Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Comply with all Solace Pest Solutions policies and procedures, as well as Federal and Provincial legislation and regulations.
