Position Summary

The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading complex technology initiatives that align with organizational goals and deliver measurable business value. This role requires a strong combination of technical understanding, strategic thinking, and exceptional stakeholder management skills. The IT Project Manager serves as the central point of coordination between business leaders, technical teams, and external partners - ensuring alignment, transparency, and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

The successful candidate will excel at navigating diverse stakeholder interests, managing expectations, and building consensus across cross-functional teams. They will proactively identify risks, communicate effectively at all organizational levels, and drive project outcomes that balance scope, quality, and strategic priorities. This role demands a confident communicator, skilled negotiator, and trusted advisor who can translate complex technical initiatives into clear business value.

Responsibilities
  • Influence and Align Stakeholders: Build consensus among executives, business leaders, and technical teams, developing rapport with sponsors and key stakeholders.
  • IT PMO Support: Develop and implement project governance methodologies and best practices to ensure successful project portfolio execution.
  • Change Management: Drive change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions during IT system implementations and upgrades, promoting user adoption and minimizing disruptions.
  • Project Management: Lead planning, execution, and management of complex and technical projects. Define project goals, scope, timelines, budget, and resource requirements.
  • Anticipate Challenges and Opportunities: Identify potential risks, dependencies, and external factors that may impact success. Proactively develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • AI/ML: Lead the end-to-end delivery of AI and machine learning projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Navigate Ambiguity: Balance flexibility and discipline to ensure progress, quality, and alignment with strategic objectives despite uncertain conditions.
  • Network and Applications: Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of network infrastructure and applications tailored to the renewable energy landscape.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with technology vendors and service providers to select, implement, and manage hardware, software, and cloud solutions.
  • Renewable Energy Expertise (Preferred): Leverage your extensive knowledge of renewables to align IT initiatives with business objectives and industry trends.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Applied Sciences, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in an IT or Technical Project Manager capacity.
  • Exceptional communication skills: proactive, transparent, regular, concise, active listening.
  • Must be able to drive collaborative decision-making with stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset to focus on long-term impact, alignment with organizational goals, measurable outcomes and proactive problem-solving.
  • Working level knowledge of network architecture, infrastructure, and change management.
  • Experience in vendor selection, contract negotiation, and vendor relationship management.
  • Resourceful and self-directed, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for results.
  • Comfortable making decisions in ambiguous or evolving situations, using sound judgment and critical thinking.
  • Experience applying ITIL principles (Incident, Problem, Change, and Service) preferred.
  • Certification in project management (PMP) preferred.
  • Management) to project delivery and service operations.
  • Hybrid: 1-2 days in the office, one of which is Thursday.
  • Occasional work outside typical working hours to support teams in other regions.
