Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves supporting licensed physiotherapists in delivering effective patient care within a hospital or clinical setting. The ideal candidate who is preparing for licensing exam in canada but has bechlor degree in Physiotherapy This position offers an opportunity to develop clinical skills and contribute to patient rehabilitation and well-being.

Duties

  • Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
  • Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is sanitized and ready for use
  • Support patients during therapy sessions, including guiding exercises and ensuring proper technique
  • Monitor patient progress and report any concerns or changes to the supervising physiotherapist
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes
  • Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
  • Educate patients on home exercises and post-treatment care instructions
  • Adhere to all hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control procedures

Skills

  • Prior experience working in a hospital or acute care environment is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy and patient care
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Compassionate approach with a focus on patient-centered care
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Good organizational skills for maintaining accurate records and managing multiple tasks efficiently
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
